This Easter break was clearly going to be busy one for the OSTAR skippers completing their qualifiers or approaching the uk from abroad. Luca Zoccoli has left south Italy solo directed towards Antibes in France across the Tirreno sea on his qualifier. Once there the boat will be delivered by road to northern france to minimise risk of damage in the still treacherous early spring unpredictable weather.
Roberto Westermann is going the long way around and in a message via satellite he said all was well and about to leave the Med through Gibriltar straight but rather windy a couple of days ago. Better conditions now.
