Things are starting to happen out there

It looks as though there may be two retirements. Lexia with Jonathan Snodgrass and Light of the World with Reini Gelder are both heading east back towards Plymouth. All the rest are heading NW with the exception of Croisieres Anne Caseneuve which was heading west of south when I started this at 1800 Wednesday.

The fleet is centred on 11 W 50N and the wind is a strong westerly with 5m waves. By the morning it will still be strong but should be more southerly giving them a port reach. It should stay strong through Thursday but by midnight a front will pass and after that the isobars start to spread out. The timings will depend on whether you are at the front or the back of the fleet.

The photo shows Q11 creaming along just after the start but where is Jerry?
