First I had to sort out and process the photos for this morning's post and then look at the weather and race positions. The RWYC has improved its data output and now lists the boats in DTG order which meant I didn't need to use my handheld GPS to work them out.
After uploading my post to blogStar I sent the race details to Jerry via Iridium. In his reply he said he was eating and sleeping well and was happy with the race so far. The local press seemed keen on the articles and pictures I gave them about Jerry and the Ostar including the piece about Mary Falk's fund raising for the Institute for Cancer Research. They want to talk to Jerry but will he be prepared to pay for the call?
Poor Barry. The smell of diesel will empty the stomachs of even the strongest. I've had two diesel tanks split and empty their entire contents into the bilges and so to cheer him up here are 2 more of his photos: his sister who is the third member of his travelling supporters and a shot of him just after the start when he looks in control of his world.
Looks like the spinnakers will be out this weekend.
