I'm terribly sorry for not blogging over the last few days. I got a bit
carried away with being focused on the racing part of the race instead
of the life experience part of the race.
I'll update you more over the next few days, but the good news is....
At 11.02 GMT this morning Dinah crossed the finish line to claim first
over the line in class and first on corrected time IRC in class.
We did it!
Barry & Dinah.

Well done Barry, what a
Well done Barry, what a fantastic achievement, congratulations! It must have been a close shave with Oscar and I think your magnanimous blog entry yesterday tipped things in your favour with the wind gods. I agree with Seamus your blog has been superb. The finish photo showing Dinah in perfect trim ghosting along with you sitting to leeward on the rail willing her to the finish epitomises your skill and dedication and why you deserved the victory. If I'm on the start line in 2013 it'll be to a large part inspired by you and the rest of Ostar09. To us blogstar followers you are a superstar and I hope you get some well-deserved rest and enjoy your time in Newport. You've earned your membership of the half-crown club and helped to embellish the aura surrounding the Ostar and it's unique history.
Well player

11 am was a bit early for the 'Hol;y Water', but you were well toasted at lunchtime!!!!
A hero's welcome I hope?
Now get your land-legs back? I've heard alcohol helps! At least it will give a rationalle for not being able to stand up straight that the average American could understand!!
From the game of rugby we claim "Humility in victory .... dignity in defeat"
Enjoy your well deserved celebrations.
Keep blogging and we'll keep voting (won't we all that read this!!!!!)
