This must be day 11 of our trip from Newport RI
to Azores, prob Horta.
Last three days we have sailed in perfect flat blue sea, under blue sky
almost on course in very ligh SE breeze. making about 125 miles per day.
wonderful relaxing conditions.
reading too much , sleeping too much.
bacon sandwich for lunch yesterday,
beef curry,onions ,garlic and boiled pots for supper.
lunch today is fried pots and fried eggs.
Jbellio is in hot persuit, about 30 miles west
and Hannah white is near also, pure solo.
QII an Jbo have trackers.
I suspect Tamarind must be there as he left a few days before us
I am sailing with Chris Smith, a student from Plymouth uni.
not solo as looked likely 3 days before the race start.
I was hoping the wind would veer a bit
so we can lay 115 or so
but at least we have breeze
making 103 at about 6.0
inc 0.5 gulfstream
sst is 20 c
pom is portuguese man of war, none recently
small grey dolphins visit once or twice daily but dont
stay long
cloud thickening from west but baro steady at 1023
