I believe that Marco has returned to the UK, and I did not really thank him properly before he left. As someone who did not know what a Blog was two months ago, I would like to record my thanks to Marco and all of the team behind Blogstar for making the system so easy to use, and for educating me, and I suspect many of the other skippers, (particularly those of us with some grey hair) on this highly effective way of bringing a bit of the ocean to the computer terminals of so many.
I know that my family, friends and in particular my daughter and her class at school have really enjoyed the Blog, so thank you all very much for providing the solution to us skippers so we did not have to reinvent the wheel ourselves.

It is Mrs Beebees birthday today! She is having a lovely day, we sang her Happy Birthday and she brought us cake, sorry Florence you were not here for it!
This will be our last blog, as we have a very busy week next week, with Speech day and move up day, the Sorting Hat will let Florence know what house she is in, it will "blog" her.

We have just returned from two days at Block Island, and two days at Martha's Vineyard, hence the delay in replying. We enjoyed our visits to these islands very much.
We arrived back at lunchtime today in the middle of a thunderstorm, with poor visibility, torrential rain, lightening, and lots of wind, similar in many ways to when I arrived so all of the familiy could enjoy the special Newport welcome. Another competitor, Bart, was hit by lightening this morning just off Newport and sadly much of his electrical equipment is damaged, so we consider ourselves fortunate to have suffered no damage.
Tomorrow we go to Boston, and both Florence and Alexander are very excited about going to the aquarium.

Also we would like to thank the Blogstar team for their superb work with /on the website. Your website was our compagnion during the whole race, days and nigts. Through the blogs we could assiste to the race in skippers own words- Very very nice. Really well done!!!! The website is rich in various subjects, we learned very much about saling, about the race, about skippers- During the race we involved lot of people who discovered in this way the world of saling. We wish the Blogstar will live also after the end of the race developing the work already done and really fantastic. The weather has been
The weather has been unusually bad for Newport at this time of year, overcast with rain and strong winds for much of the time.
As a consequence we have not been sailing yet, but hope to either today or tommorrow.
Florence saw some people surfing yesterday.
We look forward to seeing you all at some point during the holidays.
