Friday night took off with the wind filling in very quickly, soon requiring 2 reefs. The wind continued to build and, with a jam at the end of the boom, I dropped the main. We were still doing 7.5 knots, much better for the autopilot.
Great sail until the morning. Bart called up wanting to do a mutual photoshoot which I was keen to oblige. Then the inevitable happened, the wind completely died.
Pasta for supper and then I noticed the barometer had fallen by 7 milibars. Was this the "nasty little low" that Bart was referring to? Without any weather information, one's imagination can run wild. The wind finally filled in at 10pm - why does the wind always fill in overnight?
