Thanks to the fantastic help of friends paul and lynne, owners of safar which did ostar 88 i think, we got the antifouling done, i finally lost my cruising stripes, we opted for single colour. White. It looks gray now but it goes lighter when it is in contact with salt water and she looks somewhat more racey.
For the first time i'm ahead of my schedule, i need to come down to do the patches where the cradle arms are and put a second layer on the leading edges.
I also finally fitted a louder buzzer on the ais, this had been bugging me for some time as the standard one is useless and simrad has proved itself one of most unhelpful companies in the marine industry i've ever delt with in resolving the issue. If you could have seen how easy the job was it makes you wonder whether they care about their clients. But i had to find out myself, the first attempt didnt work, but all i needed were the specifications of the buzzer current, they said it's industrial secret they have to guard. Useless.
Now back to a train, still covered in paint, i look a right mess but it's all coming together and i'm almost good to go, and i'm really looking forward to it!
