The sun shone all day

The sun shone all day, a glassy sea and not a breath of wind. We left Dartmouth early in the morning to catch the tide, we skirted the Skerries bank rounded Start Point and carried on peacefully to Plymouth chatting our way in total relaxation.

The train back to London was the usual misery but I started reading Ice Bird, about the circumnavigation of Antartica in 1974 on a 32ft sloop so it wasnt that bad after all. Next weekend will be the last in the water before I come out for sanding, just briefly and a last chance for an underwater check. All looks good to me, a few jobs here and there of course but the boat is so much better than during the 1000 miles solo that it can only look promising. I'm getting used to MaxSea, my new navsoftware and my friend brought me an external hard drive with about 60 movies and hundreds of hours of music, just in case it turns all nice and pleasant like it was this weekend and you find some spare time to relax.
