I'm very sorry for the trouble occurred to mr Tortolani and the sad lot of the boat Città di Salerno. He is safe now; she is lost. We must thank the CG and the ship Missouri. ALL SKIPPERS are obliged now to reflect upon the importance of what they did.

You are an angel Kevin.
Thank you for hosting our friend Gianfranco.
This afternoon I took a bit
This afternoon I took a bit of a detour from being shore support for Peter Bourke on Rubicon, to helping another OSTAR sailor in distress. The Maersk Missouri docked in Port Newark NJ about 6:30 PM this evening, and after an hour for the ship to clear customs and immigration, Gianfranco Tortolani came down the gangway – safe and sound.
He is presently sound asleep in my guest bedroom in Westfield NJ getting a well earned rest, and tomorrow morning he will be on a train heading up north to join the rest of the skippers up on Newport.
