NOON Sunday GMT position (tracker broken!)

Shore note

"King of Shaves" Position
UPDATED TO SUNDAY NOON GMT

At 1200 hours GMT Sunday Oscar was at 41 45 N 66 26 W. This puts him 130 miles from the finish. He had very little wind over night but it had slightly filled in when we spoke at noon GMT Sunday. He has the A5 chute up and is doing 5.5 knots steering 220 degrees.

Barry Hurley (sailing "Dinah") who is in a dog fight with Oscar for first place in the Gypsy Moth class (they haven't been more than 5 miles apart for 5 days) was at 41 14 N 68 29 W at noon and this puts Barry 5 miles in front of Oscar for the lead in the Gypsy Moth class.

Oscar is busy sailing but wanted us to send his CONGRATULATIONS to JanKeese and Rob and Hannah, who has just this last hour finished. WELL DONE ALL!

Its raining and cold in Newport. I am off to the YC to welcome in Hannah White, ETA for Oscar is Monday AM East Coast time.

Oscar, one of the most amazing race performances, well done. Just miles from the finsih and so little in it between you and Dinah. Fantastic result so far, keep going, good luck to you. You're a real star in the making, a brilliant talent and you have so much more ahead of you to achieve! Finger crossed for the finish, will be watching! Nick
