Hi All
As JanKees said a few days ago - it ain't over till its over,
Been v light all night. Just sheeted in to stop sails slatting about and set
course on close reach. I made a fair distance and got enough sleep in short
spans of 30-40 minutes to keep me going.
Had half hour of 11 kts a while ago now wind has dropped a little.
Heading due west mag between 4-5 kts. 160 miles to go. Finish positions
will all depend on who gets the calms I reckon - no change there then.
Sun has been up a couple of hours now. I can see some clouds as well. In the
fog I can just see mast head and about 50 meters around boat.
Wind has picked up now to about 15 kts. Speed up to 7+ kts. Is this the
forecast wind coming to stay to the finish or just another tease?
The wind instruments stopped again last evening. Never mind nearly there
now.
